Membership info

Please note that memberships are currently on hold while we work through some accounting leadership changes. Besides, we know times are tough for some folks right now and we don't want that to be an excuse for not playing the flute, nor spending time with other fluties!

Don't worry, you are welcome to go to any NCFC event!

What does a flute circle do?

To begin with, everyone is welcome at any of our events. We have members of all ages, skill levels and ethnic background. Most of the people who attend Flute Circles are players of Native American style Flutes, not Native Americans who play flutes. Most people are there to learn how to play the
Native American Flute, or how to play better, but some come just to listen and enjoy the energy our flutes always generate. We also encourage musicians with other instruments to join us and jam at the open mic sessions. At past meetings this has included: didgeridoo, hand drums, shakers, didjs, guitar, cello, piano, nay, daf and kalimba just to name a few!

We do lots of things at the actual meetings: PLAY, LEARN, SHARE RESOURCES, INTERACT, and PLAY SOME MORE! You can learn more about flute circles here.

With your membership you receive:

1. Notification, monthly via an email newsletter and by regular mailings (2-3 per year) of the NCFC newsletter, "The Voice of The Circle", of all of the meetings of the Northern California (Native American) Flute Circle.

2. Preferred admission to NCFC sponsored workshops -- Some will be conducted just for NCFC members, some will be for beginners, some for intermediate players, and some will be more involved and advanced workshops with nationally known guest instructors. The calendar of upcoming events is here.

3. Discounts and specials by direct mail order with Flute Makers and other vendors.

4. Free Classified Ad submissions on the NCFC website (NEW)

5. The satisfaction of knowing that you are supporting this wonderful instrument and taking an active part in helping out our Flute community, and our community in a greater sense.

Individual and Household Membership details are detailed on the NCFC Membership Form
